The Red Panda

Brief info:

Yes it exists, its not a joke. A rare and cute and cuddly mammal found near the Himalayas, Nepal ,India , and west China! It has a magnificent long tail which inspired the most successful web browser till date. The total population of this species is estimated around 2500 mature individuals and is in gradually decreasing. This ‘animal is quite impressive, in terms of length! It ranges between 80cm to 120cm!

What does it eat?

The red panda feeds exclusively on bamboo.

Visit at Fondation Georges Charles

Fondation Georges Charles – Centre de formation pour les jeunes differents

(Eng : Training Center for the young with handicap)

This institution takes care of handicapped children and young adults by providing them facilities to learn and develop themselves. Most of these children are cannot attend regular school due to problems like transport/finance etc. They are obviously provided transport from and to their home.

At the Training center, they learn things like sewing, making artisanal artifacts, singing and more importantly, they interact with people who understand them.

Donations

As a member of SSSDGRB(Shri Satya Sai devotional Group of Roche-Bois) I accompanied some friend there to make a donation and visit the kids. A local company, Abax Corporate Services Ltd, represented by two ladies(I don’t have their name) were also present and they donated 3 New Sewing Machine..! The SSSDGRB donated a second hand PC(which i repaired myself. so its a kind of guaranteed by sozzz.net )

Robbery

Why donate these things? Have we gone super-generous just like that? No! In fact, as the Police Inspector present there talk to us, i learnt that there was a robbery that occurred there. The robbers took all the sewing machines and computers that the disabled kids used to learn. Why kind of immoral person would do that!? Well then.. i could comment on this but I’ll just let you have your opinion on this.

Meeting the kids

I believe all of them were assembled in the yard, so we met them all! no need to tell you, they had a BIG SMILE on their face because they were getting new material to work with! They even sang a song for us! I have a video!

Endnote

People, there’s something you should know, if you have two good legs, two good hands and you know why 1 + 1 = 2, then thank god! Maybe, some wouldn’t truly understand what i mean until someday you meet these kids. Just meeting them can change your whole point of view on your very life.

Its not a joke

I believe this is a big step that google as taken. I do not know who has initiated this “project” but i think i myself will now know how to spell Creole words… I checked other google services(such as Gmail , Google Translate, Google News) to see if its possible to use Kreol Morisien. It didn’t show up anywhere. I can only conclude that it is available only on Google.mu. It seems logical that “it” will extend to other services as Google gets “more intelligent”. I hope it happens soon!

Some advantages among many…

Very useful to Mauritians who know how to read, but who do not understand English or French 100%

The longest journey starts with a single step! *food for thoughts* – manzer pu pense

Could be implemented in Google Maps, hence giving Mauritians a full fledged details Mauritius map understandable by all.

End note

I hope this is not the end, but the beginning of something new, exclusively for Mauritians. To be noted, it is NOT Kreol, its Kreol Morisien!
