How I “iphonise” the wordpress theme for InDaFrance

For my new blog in French at InDaFrance about iPhone and downloads, I wanted a light and clean theme with the look and feel of either the mac or the iphone. At the same time, I didn’t want something loading with tons of javascript and in that sense, I had to put away the many mac os or iPhone wordpress themes around, namely the popular ones like iTheme.

After some research, I found myself on a chinese blog but with a great theme, the apple4us wordpress theme. It got lots of options to allow the user from the wordpress admin panel to easily change the design, look and feel. It was exactly what I was looking for. What I really liked too was the Quick Admin Panel which shows when you’re logged in.

With the theme installed, I brought some minor changes with a couple of online tools mainly DeviantArt for some great iPhone artwork and icons and the Resize your image online tool which allowed me to shrink those images to the size I saw fit for the new theme.

The end result is something like on the screenshot below, a couple of icons and graphics added to bring some minor enhancements. You can see it live on InDaFrance.
