Mahashivaratri Controversy : Are we still in a free country?
by roushdatI’ve just received an sms from my friend Selven ( http://www.blogged4ever.com/) who informed me about an ongoing controversy surrounding the Mahashivaratri.
I quote, “It has its meaning only if celebrated on that nite (night) ie(that is) the 6 (th of ) this month. Partou entier le monde p fer sa zour la. Mais someone screwed up allocating holidays…”
According to him, there could have been a cover up by some politicians. He also says that though many Hindu organisations have agreed for the 5th, the local Tamil community insists that it should be on the 6th.
There is also a news article on that matter in today’s Lexpress newspaper.
So…even religious festival, there is interference now? Cot nou p aller dans sa pays la…(40ans lindependence? )
