Mauritian Transport! ! !
by tushalToday a “not so new” situation arose when I was traveling from home to Goodlands.I was going to buy some medicines since I was still not feeling better.
I left home around 10.30 and waited for the bus. After some few mins, the bus came.
The bus driver was in a hurry as he was driving very fast. Arriving at Petit Raffray,there’s a lot of humps {around 12 or 14}.The driver did not think it was necessary to slow down.After the 3rd Hump, I was really angry since each time, every passengers were “sent in the air” after going through those humps.I made the bus conductor and driver aware that I’m unhappy with them.
Instead of slowing down or listening to me,the driver,this time, went more faster through the hump which caused many people angry and shouting at them.But in vain.
The conductor came to those people{in a very angry state} and told them:
ou ki chauffer la..chauffer la koner ki li pe faire.
si ou pa cntnt voyage par bus..voyage par taxi.pa bsn vin dan bus.
The two passengers told the conductor:
laise nu ale station la police..ou bsn cmprnd.ena dimoune ki in fek sorti hopital.pa kpv ki ou chaufer la roule comsa.
The conductor told them:
pa vin faire mari ici
and he closed his right hand into a fist.
Did I just forget to give the bus number! ! !The bus number is 3931 DC 03
THIS IS WHAT WE, USERS, ARE FACED FROM INDIVIDUAL CONDUCTORS AND DRIVERS.Something more, I always thought that if the bus companies don’t get passengers they will “die” but here what I can see is that they don’t care about passengers.
I’m pretty much sure if those individual buses can’t cope with the public, they should make way for other major bus companies which will be happy to serve the line 21{Goodlands to Port Louis andPort Louis to Goodlands}
Further more, some conductors and drivers are not properly dressed.
Hats to Mauritian Transport! ! !
